[QUOTE=__redruM,Feb 12 2008, 05:51 PM]When I plug 8200 in the turn zero calculator for the AP2, I get 154.7 if tire deformation is taken into account and 159.4 if it's not.

Start a fresh browser window, and it should work. It's not possible to switch between AP1 and AP2 without restarting iexplorer... (or at least getting a fresh window)

The Evo is a better choice for most drivers, for the reasons you and others have stated. It responds slower to driver inputs, and has passenger car stability rather than fighter aircraft instability (aka agility). That's no accident. The S2000 was and is aimed at a niche market, while the Evo is aimed at a much broader market segment that needs torque and forgiving handling to enjoy their cars. The S2000 was not designed for such people, and they're better off in something like an Evo.

Evo's, 350Z's, etc. etc. etc., are ALL more stable, or less responsive, than the S2000, by design. That's no mistake either. Broad market appeal matters with those cars, but not with the S2000. IOW, not everyone is supposed to like the S2000. If they did, it would just be another boring factory hot rod, rather than the specialty car we S2000 owners love so much.

If you're driving at triple digits, and find the S to be "a little scary", I'd be interested to know what the environment was.

130mph indicated is totally boring if you're in a controlled environment. That's what I was able to hit at Watkins Glen prior to braking for the Inner Loop (aka busstop) chicane. No drama whatsoever.

well lets say the people that has the balls to go this fast what kind of tires you need? do you need a wing, lip, and all that fun stuff to keep wind down or how ever that stuff works??? tire pressure, and lets say all of this is done and you do it do you hope for the best and expect the worst as in having a blow out at 150 mph or getting the cops on you or slamming into a car that comes outta no where , or what about a curve how would you take a curve at that speed? just curious
