Default What type of valve cover is this?

i was looking through an insurance auto auctions car site, iaa.com. checking out some effed up s2k's and i found one with a rather odd looking engine valve cover, posted it up here to see if anyone knew what type of vc it is?
look at the engine shot.

P.s: i like looking at effed up s2k's to remind me not to do that to mine...

it doesnt look squarish enough to be an sr20... why would someone want to upgrade/downgrade to an sr instead of an F20/22

def looks like a SR20.

As to why...no idea. It's a definite downgrade. Only rational reason I can think of is that the F20C broke. Of course people aren't always rational.

Or the fact that you can get an SR20 for cheap compared to a F2x motor... Probably was a junk motor that someone swapped in quickly to "one up" the insurance company. I mean, look, it's not even hooked up anywhere, it's just... in there.

lolz i could only imagine what he/she was thinking when they did this. or it could have been that they effed up the original motor.... i hope it was the latter.

to: AFs2K yeahh the "one up" scenario with the insurance co. looks to be a good probability too, but im sure they check the vin on the engine when the car comes in.
