The soft top cover is also listed as a dealer option in Japan.

Did you pay for the 'spats'(they're actually called Strakes) - they're not a freebie, but I agree - why would you bother paying for them.
They are NOT actually called strakes. The Side Strakes are the accessories that bolt on to either side of the car in front of the rear wheels. The aero dams are dealer installed under the car in front of both the front and rear wheels during PDI and are standard on every S2000. Some dealers are lame and didn't install them on some cars.

I have the PDI manual showing the installation of the aero dams and I also have both the standard aero dams and the optional side strakes and trust me, they're not the same things.
