Default What and where to put flamp switch on '03 S2000

I'm going to put in a rear fog lamp. My S2000's right-hand dash switch position has a switch one for the rear-window defroster.

Suggestions for placing a switch for the rear fog lamp?

You could probably pick up the switch assembly that is used to install the defroster button for the hard top on pre-'02 s2k's and use one of those two slots.

I'm looking to install the European rear fog lamp on my 03 as well.

I wasn't clear as to what you were suggesting though.

A) Take 03 defroster switch out and replace with the Euro rear fog switch in its place, to the right of the steering wheel. Then wire the rear fog harness to that switch. Use the pre-02 hardtop rear defroster switch (which would be installed on the armrest) and re-route the defroster wiring from the steering area (from the original setup) to the armrest area.

B) Leave all stock 03 switches in place. Get the pre-02 hardtop rear defroster switch and install on armrest. Then just wire the rear fog harness to that switch (even though the switch has a diagram for defrosting) and use that switch for the fogs.

Which method were you referring to?

Thanks.

I believe he meant method B. I wouldn't touch the switches that came wired on the S if it's not needed...But additions are always welcome. Are you gonna run a separate fuse/relay or piggyback off one that's already there?

I obtained this info off other s2ki pages when I did the search for this very mod(so don't quote me on the spelling, it's not mine):

"location of the rear foglight on European s2k's is just behind the indicator/light stalk(Left side of the steering wheel). Possibly you have a blanking plate there".

"On Euro cars, the fog light switch is behind the wheel on the left side, right where the cruise control would be on US cars I believe."

So I guess use the pre-02 defroster switch to toggle the rear fogs?

Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm not electrically inclined and have no idea what you were talking about hehe. I'm probably going to have to get all the parts and bring them to Billman250 for installation.
