It's either a random hit by roaming kids or a calculated attack by a jealous neighbor. Either way you still have your S2000 and they've got the horrors of puberty and/or the pangs of self-loathing with which to deal. My old FJ40 was hit three times: one TP and shaving cream (the smell still lingers), one egging in Minnesota, and another egging about a week later in Portland Oregon. I'd like to think that whoever egged it first had to drive 2000 miles to find me to egg it again....Bastard. Anyhow, as the anger passes, it's weird that what remains is an odd sense of relief, I mean, after all, they didn't use bricks, right?

I had a car that was pennied. Some kids drove by my car as it was parked on the street and threw a handfull of pennies at the car. It cracked the tail light, put a few coin edged dents in the trunk a spoiler, and chipped the paint in a few places.

Hey guys -

I wanted to thank you all for all of your replies! Maybe it's a little bit of the misery loves company kind of thing, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one who fell victim to this. (Ok- maybe victim is a bit overstated, but I digress...)

I guess from your generous replies, I can be thankful that it wasn't pennies, pellet shot, or golf cleats! I talked with a few of people I know - one even got hit with an open can of aircraft paint remover! Who does that!?!? It's amazing these vandals have the time to gather their arsenal. What with all the trips to the bank, supermarket, Home Depot, and Sport Mart - Who would have the time for the drive-bys? I'm going to check with a couple of paint shops in the area and see what kind of quotes I can find. I will never park on the street again, if at all possible. (Problem is my driveway has a bit of a severe slope, and it is hard to back out with out scraping my spoiler. Not that you see the scraping, but I hate that 'scrrrrrrrupppp' sound!

Thanks again, all - I hope after a few more days of , the anger will fade...

Sorry to hear your story man. This kind of crap infuriates me (and makes me thankful my baby sits in the garage).

They don't always get away though..... Before I had my S2K, I had a turbo Civic Si and I lived in a college appartment complex while I was still in school. One night some drunk freshman idiot saw my beautiful black beauty sitting outside and decided to throw his alcoholic beverage (or its remnants all over my hood). Well this was in the middle of winter, and what he didnt know was I always parked within view of my window and I happened to be looking outside when he did it (my bed was next to the window). Well after I ran downstairs, caught up with him as his group walked to the bus stop and pushed him around a little, he was so stunned that this half naked kid ran out after him in the freezing cold than he was begging to let him wash it. What was really funny was his 4-5 friends saw the look on my face and the fact that I just had boxers on and didnt back him up (despite the fact that I am not a huge guy and that I was the only one out there).

Ends up that I didnt make him wash it because I thouht he'd end up doing more harm then good because he prolly wouldnt know how to wash a car correctly anyway, so I ran down to the local bay-type car wash and sprayed the crap off before it froze. But I did tell the little bastard and his friends:
"If I EVER see ANY of you around here again, and you know I will, I will personally make sure that not only do you have to walk home because I will destroy your vehicle, but you'll be pulling yourself along the ground with your arms, dragging your broken legs behind you. And don't think I wont because I am going to watch you get into your car and drive off and take your license plate number."

Anyway people are bastards and ignorant (90% of them), sometimes they get away with it, sometimes they don't, they'll get theirs bro, go find a good paint shop and get your ish fixed up good as new!
