What will my S2000 be worth in 5 years?

People are having to give them away now, in 10 years we likely will have to pay someone to take the car off our hands.
Kinda sad.

Most new cars are already rust proofed from factory. I drove my S every winter, never rust proofed it myself, and it was completely fine by the time I sold it.
I wouldn't worry if I were you.
Just my opinion...

The real blame should go to Honda for the miss information of limited production of 5000 units.

True!! haha! It just feels this car is not holding value like it should. Will this car be a collectors item? I am not sure, but one could hope the cars in good shape will retain their value better than the supped up hard driven high mileage one's.

^^ Agreed. In Beverly Hills where i work, all the millionaires driving ferraris and lambos ALWAYS compliment on how amazing it looks and asks what country this honda was imported from. You'd be surprised at how not very many people know about the s even after 7 years of production.

S2k's with over 100k go for $15K or less. What the market will be in 10 years? I have no idea. Depreciation cannot be predicted I think. As far as the salt, thats going to be a major issue later down the road if you don't get the underside cleaned very well. My father bought a 65 MBZ SL230 in 66. Drove it in Montana, an 20 years later....a lovely hole in the floor and frame due to the salt decades before.
