If you're looking at FI before even buying the car, what you should do is put together a list of mods you'd like to put on the car (essentials to you) and see how much that'll run you. Depending on how much you make/are willing to put up, that will tell you how much you can pay for an S. InlinePro

oh yea you could always buy an s2000 swap an ls1 in that. sell the s2k motor set up and make money. Since they are worth more than a LS1 set up. hahah not what I'd do. but I've seen a LS1/s2k before. kinda cool.

...

Right now I'm pretty set on selling the 240 in march and picking up a S2k.
Swing by Colorado much? I'll trade ya my 2000 Black/Black S2000 for your 240.

you could do some serious damage with a budget like that.....get some gears (4.77's)IMO and go FI.....

i've had two friends that had 3rd gen RX7's

they've completely forgotten about em after their S2K's

rotors are fun.....but i'm sure you'll enjoy a boosted S2K

You need to wait a bit more than 26 minutes for any forum site...

Not a horrible idea. How many miles are on it.

your best bet is to go drive a couple of S2000's, so that you can tell what you like and ponder what you eventually think you will need. you can mod this car, but it is really sweet outta the box. it was designed as a roadster with 4 cyl, not a car like the RX7. the ride is different as well, in fact the whole experience is different, why not get another RX7?

with 25k you can get a really nice S2000, enjoy it, then mod it later when you have more $$, mean time you have a very nice ride with no repairs other than normal honda maintenance!

Hey...former FD owner here. I spent over $15K in mods and repairs and while it was a fun car I too got tired of having to fix something or worrying about grenading the engine. The S is my daily driver, while not nearly as fast in a straight line it handles just as well, riding top down is just fun, and the fit and finish is ten time better (of course the car is 11 years newer). Personally I just don't feel the need to mod my S, been there....done that.

BTW, I've done 155 in both the FD and my AP2 and the Honda felt much more stable at that time I was running Bridgestone S01s and Koni yellows w/ eibach pro kit on the FD (about 3/4 drop).

Currently approximately 48K. It's an off and on 'daily driver.'
