Will the RM CAE, Spoon cross brace, Competch strut bar, or similar products void the warranty? I'm worried.

No need to worry whatsoever. You should only worry when you start doing mods to the engine itself, stuff like cams, internal motor stuff...

I can't imagine that simple bolt-ons would ever cause a problem with the factory warranty...

The warranty does not have to be honored for a failure that is caused by a modification, but modifications do not automatically void the warranty.

If you ever have a claim, I would not give out too much information, "contests of speed" will void the warranty on a totally stock stook, or any Honda for that matter.

I don't understand why people bother.

Can't you just keep the stock parts in case some major problem occurs?

I was told by my service manager that a cold air intake would void the power train warranty due to the possiblity of sucking up water. One of my friend did this on his heavily modded mustang, water locked the motor. I would still do one since my car will never see rain unless I get stuck in it on the way home.

I used to work at a Honda Dealership, and I tend to think this is a really gray area. My service manager would get ANYTHING done for a good customer. I do know that Honda will not pay to take aftermarket engine mods off to fix the problem...ie supercharger. They may fix the problem, but you have to take the part off and put it back on. The lesson here....be very nice to your service guy and ACT like a responsible fella in his presence, I truly feel that this will take you a long way.
