Default What would it take for a 10.5K Redline

Would cams, head work (stronger valves & springs) extra fueling and an ECU tune be all that's necessary for a 10.5K Reline on one of these cars. As far as I know the car already comes with forged internals for extra strength. How much cash do you think it would take to achieve the above stated goal.

aside from stand alone ECU, i think a valve train upgrade would be necessary.

cjb80 had his going to 9700rpm with what he called "inexpensive" valve train upgrades. he also said it was easily good for at least 10,000rpm, but at the time they dyno'd they did not take it higher due to some noise (i think it ended up being that a valve adjustment was needed)

Geez, why are people so hype about high redline? If you look at the S2k dyno, you can see the power curve going down after 8200k rpm. After this point the only thing you're doing is wasting fuel and choking the engine. Not very efficient or necessary.

That's usually with the stock ECU or with minimal controllers (VAFC). If you were using a standalone ECU and took the time to tune it and the timing properly, you could do whatever the hell you want. Not to say I see a real point in this, as that money and time could be better spent evening out the stock rev range so you wouldn't even need to rev that high to get the power you want.

F-1 engines rev.at +18500 R.P.M.
If it was not efficient, and necessary, they would not rev.that high !!!
