I did replace my S, with a Lotus Exige S240. The car is great and has many similar qualities to S2K. Sadly though, Im selling the exige bc Ive had a kiddo and need to get something with a backseat....anyone want a near perfect 2008 exige??

 

Upgrade? What up grade? We don need no stinkin upgrade!

 

For me it would have to be a Ferrari 348 targa, F355, elise/exige, boxster spyder, or ktm xbow/ariel atom, etc. Since I can afford none of the above I'm getting another S.

At this point, the only other car(s) I would want in replacement would be an Elise or Exige.

 

Ferrari 308 GTB - I can actually afford to get one!!!!

 

As much as I love the old 308/328 and it's looks...I fear it would be a real letdown over the S2000. Not that the S2000 is some end all, be all car, but handling has come a long way since then.

 

Ferrari 599XX or Audi TTRS

 

Most have already mentioned it but the Exige is a great car that can match the excitement of the S2000. Believe it or not, I chose the S over the Exige because the S the rarer car in my parts (and I am a big fan of Honda reliability). In terms of performance, I feel the Exige trumps the S. Go try one and see for yourself. However, if I were not to consider the Exige I would probably consider an R34 GTR (close to stock) or a supercharged, wide-body K20 MR-S (highly modified).

But lucky for me, I have the S and the other cars live in its shadow despite their apparent performance advantages.

 

To replace my S2000 in its current role (DD/Autox): A 06+ S (mine is an 01 with 113k), or, If i had some real money maybe a Cayman or Boxster (newer)...

For weekend/Autox use only: Elise, with the Lotus Sport Suspension package and LSD. period.
