For those of you who have owned the car, what would you change about it if you could? What is the car's shortcomings?

Certainly the lack of a steering wheel adjustment seems to be an oversight and the stock stereo goes without saying...

What else?

Should have came with a get out of speeding tickets free card!

In all honesty, I would probably just have to get rid of all the Airbag warnings, thats it for the most part.

This is a easy one for me: the power top/plastic window. I would much prefer a Miata or MR2 spyder like manual glass window top. Easy to operate, looks great, lighter and cheaper. I know the power top has the gee-whiz cool factor but a manual top's simplicity is unbeatable. BTW, should the power top fail, is there a lever-like feature that we can lower and raise the roof manually ? Is it in the manual ? I know my pop-up headlights in my MR2 can be raised or lowered manually if it fails.

I think it should have bigger brake. like those you can find on Porsche. I know it is over kill. I just want something that will survive the track when it is stock.

This is being really picky but:

1) Glass rear window
2) More instrumentation, like oil pressure and voltage
3) Higher quality carpet

I love everything about the car, it fits me like a glove, and there really isn't anything I would change except for the rear window

Actually I think we've gone thru this B4, so I going to add a little twist.

If Honda were to make a S2000 TypeR, here's how I like it to be:
1) A 2.5 V6, 300hp, 200 lb torque engine.
Throw the battery in the back to offset some of the weight balance (f*** the trunk space ).
2) An optional clutchless 6 speed manual (purists, please don't be too harsh on the flames....I live in the Big Dig city).
3) The JPN spec TypeS variable steering mechanism thingie that help prevent oversteering.
4) Glass rear window.
5) Body color roll bar and upper center console (like the Corvette cov.)
6) An in dash 6 CD changer w/ cassette would be cool too.

I should stop here B4 anyone thinks Im a little greedy.

I think all the people clamoring for a V6 engine with torque kind of miss the point of this car...it's about getting the most out of a little engine, and that gives it its 9000 RPM redline and character. A hefty V6 would really diminish the character, IMO.

I wouldnt want to add some of the options mentioned as there goes the bargain price we get these sweet machines for compared to other cars costing much more. Definitely a glass rear window, upgraded carpet and better sound system. When you think of what this car HAS rather than what it doesnt have it is one helluva good deal. I dont want a $50k S2K! Modifications are coming out of the woodwork and you can customize this machine to your hearts content if you got the bucks. Lets not price this bargain of a sports car so only the well to do can afford it. Just my $.02.

I think some people would like traction control.
