^ Agree. This car is looking and sounding like a re-title.

If it is announced with unibody IT HAS BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of some sort to cause the announcement, maybe offroad and frame damage that way but it has been in some sort of wreck. I would stay away, it sounds like a problem child.

With a clean title and straight frame, I'd buy it, because with a DIY guide, I can fix any issues that would come up.

All that happened was it was in a wreck. Find the prior owners and figure out what happened to it.

Pass it by - there are other better cared for cars - this one was abused with short block and new clutch by 27K.

I agree w/ everyone who has mentioned that the car seems to have had waaay too many problems too soon.

the car has been re titled. i almost bought a 99 si civic with an orange title. meaning it was a theft recovery. the only thing they stole was the motor. they left the rest of the car alone. however i asked the insurance company about it and all and they said that if i owned the car for 5 years or the car changed hands 5 times it could go back to a green clean title. i would not buy the car as you really dont know what happened to the car and i have run across some carfax's that have been wrong cuz they dont claim the wreck on insurance and just fix it on their own. if you do buy the car i would take it immidiately to your main mechanic and have him check every single nut and bolt. be careful and use your best judgement
