Question what is your daily commute time like?

Ok...just found out my work location has changed to an area about 32-37 miles from where I live. Most of it on the freeway. Traffic is horrible on I-5 ut my work schedule puts me out on the road 4amish so I"m ther before anyone and hopefully by the time I'm out not to much traffic either so we'll see....the problem is putting miles on the s2k and also during winter time when its icy and cold up here I will basicslly be one of the first people out on the roads..........this sucks I just go this nice huge gareage for her at my pad and I can't let go of the s2k hmmm. Maybe I'll feel better if someone of you guys do the same commute or longer in your S? anyone? I can only keep one car at my pad but I could possibly make the loong drive to my parents house drop off the s2k there for the winter and drive my dada beater which is a old maxima but that would mean my s2k would be exposed to the winter since there garage is full.........thanks in adavnce!

My drive is 64 miles round trip. About 45 of those are highway. Total yearly mileage is 20k miles. And yes, the S is my daily driver. I have yet to drive it through a winter, but the previous owner also daily drove it, even through the winter.

each way is 18-20 miles for me, but takes between 25 and 65 minutes (depending on leave time and time of year)...daily driver since march. i've put on about 5k miles since then but would still be driving it everyday even if it was 10k miles. haven't driven it through a winter yet, so i'll have to see how that goes.

anyway, the way i see it, the car is there for you to drive and enjoy. don't worry about putting miles on it or anything...it's not like it's a ferrari or anything.

22 miles for me, but it can take anywhere from 25 to 90 minutes depending on the time and traffic. The car isn't any worse to drive in traffic than any other manual tranny car.

I commute about 40 miles each way to work, mostly on freeways.. its been fine so far, but I haven't gone through a winter yet.. I definitely plan on getting snow tires/rims and a hardtop though. I just wish I had a 5 minute commute so I could roll out of bed in the morning. stupid getting up early business.. but the s2k makes the commute oh so much sweeter

I commute 12 miles each way. It's about a 15 minute drive in the morning and anywhere from 25 to 45 minutes in the evening. I used to have a 70 mile round trip commute before I got my S. It would be fine during long commutes other than you might get sick of working the clutch in traffic jams. But that doesn't apply just to the S. In fact the S has a lighter clutch IMO than a lot of other cars.

My commute is 36 miles, mostly on I-5. I can take backroads for about half the distance. Usually top down, though I work swing shift, so the traffic is not too bad.
We don't get ice in the central valley, but I followed a snow plow during a light snow drizzle on Highway 4 last winter and the traction was as good as any car I'd driven.

My commute also jumped from 12 to 35 miles one way, with the most direct route along the 5, although I've been experimenting with alternate routes. At 70 miles round trip per day, thats about 1500 miles each month, or 18k miles a year. If you're like me, and intend to keep the S2K for a long time, then I'd say get yourself a beater for the commutes. I'm rotating my cars so that I don't accumulate miles on any one, although the two Infinitis are likely to get the most use. If you plan on replacing your S2K after a few years, then just use it.

25 miles each way, and in traffic.
