What is your daily driver??
Hi Da Hapa
You are right about the building process, except that I think the engines was done by MB, and the chassis of the car was built by Porche were they also was assembled. Mine went by AMG bauwerke before delivery at the dealer. At that time AMG was a seperate company, and not directly connected to MB. Changes was mainly optical but also bigger wheels and stiffer supension. Yep a true sleeper, the color I have also makes this effect even more
I have actually been thinking about replacing the AMG badge on the trunk with a diesel badge
.
But it's funny to play around with older 911's on the autobahn, hanging on their rear bumper with 250 km/h. The guys who have pulled the limiter out, have no problem reaching 290 km/h. By 220 km/h with the speed pilot on, this car is such an easy drive, and very quiet, a perfect long haul vehicle.
Drive it 1/3 throttle and you have a sedate luxurious sedan, drive it with 2/3 throttle and you have a fast 4 seat limousine. Drive at full throttle and you have a very scary car indeed, which can tear up it's rear tires in no time if there were no anti spin system.
Best regards
