Purist!

Are you without radio too?
Yup. Package deal. Either you have both A/C and radio, or neither.

And you can spot those of us without radio because we don't have an antenna.

Most owners will never come close to utilizing the full potential of a non-CR S2K. Some even degrade the performance (yeah I'm talking to you hard parkers out there) for looks!!!???.

Unless you're participating in sanctioned competitive events, the CR becomes an appearance package for the rest of us, true for me anyway so on that basis the CR's looks leave me cold.

The CR is a fantastic car for someone who wants to be able to drive fast, but doesn't want to bother modding-- once you pass a certain point in modding a CR, it becomes basically an AP2.

It's somewhat comparable to owning a Type R I guess.

How do you guys feel about the CR?
Honestly I dont see whats so great about it.
Its very ugly IMO and honda totally ruined the body lines of the car.
Also they seem a bit over priced, its like the Mugen civic with a body kit and short shifter for 6k more than a base model.

Opinions please.
i felt the same way about the cr when it was first previewed for release. but you have to just see it for what it is and what it was intended to be.

honda "ruined" the body lines of the car for a purpose and not for a look. it's clear that your values and honda's values are totally different in this aspect.

as far as pricing goes, i read somewhere that honda actually lost money on creating the cr when sold at their msrp. they decided to go through with the production run anyways. for some reason, i always thought that was pretty hardcore.

shoot idk what yall are talkin about i think it looks perfect for a limted run s2000 model. Its simple, if you dnt like it, dont buy one. Why complain about how it looks. Personally i love the lip and the wing is not huge at all, its like half the size of the j's racing wings and the like. Like it was said before, pics just dont make the car look right. Not trying to sound dickish with this post but i dont go around making posts about how i think AP1's are ugly because i dont like their head and tailights and bumpers. I think that is somewhat similar to this. Anyway that was my opinion haha nobody get offended please.

I love the CR for what it is but.... for the life of me I don't get why non-CR owners put on CR lips, or for that matter why CR owners keep them. Talk about destroying the look of a car

Where did you hear this? I find it weird that Honda would lose money on a car with so few significant changes as far as redesigning parts goes.

Its track prepped and focused on that. Looks are secondary IMO. I dont find much use for the AC or Audio in my S, and would have been happy with the CR, if I owned one

I like my CR for track events but for street driving I don't really like it very much.

I used to drive it a lot more on the street but now it really only gets driven to and from events.
