What's expected life expectancy of S2K before it starts to break down?

Default What's expected life expectancy of S2K before it starts to break down?

I'm thinking about putting some money into a 2008 s2k, but I want to know how much life it has left. It's got about 60k miles on it - don't want to throw money at it and find out it's on last leg...

A well maintained Honda can easily go 200K+ miles.

60k miles is nothing on any modern vehicle if properly maintained. That would actually be considered a relatively low mile S2k.
Properly maintained you could potentially get a lifetime of use out of the car.

You can either invest in properly maintaining it (not throwing away money). I'm assuming when you say you want to "put some money into it" you mean maintenance? Or just mods? Always do maintenance first.
Or you can drive it into the ground, not maintain it and throw away your initial investment in the car.

There are a number of owners here with 250k on their cars.
Do your due diligence. Don't buy a modded or tracked car and you'll be fine.
Box stock is your friend, but you will pay a premium for it.

People have 50 year old classic sports cars which they drive hard on racetracks in Vintage race series. Don't do anything stupid, and someday that can be you in your S.

There is no expiration date. Take care of it and it can last virtually forever.

I would just recommend staying away from salt and ice and snow.
