can it be covered up a little bit or completely with something?

the scratch really shines through in the sunlight.

it's not a *big* deal, but damn does it irk me when i see it!

 

Make them replace the part they scratched.

 

or get a CF one.

 

Having worked for a shop that does car installations for several years, I can say all you have to do is bitch at them and they will have to replace the trim. It's just kind of the way it goes. If you work on enough cars, sooner or later something's going to happen to one of them. No big deal, just have them pay for the replacement.

I take pics of the inside of my car before I have any work done to it anywhere... shop, stereo, tinting... whatever.
If you have pics thay can't argue with you at all.

I also take pics of the mileage after someone though it would be fun to put 500 miles on my old EK hatch.
