What's a good jack & jack stands to buy?
what's a good jack to use for S2000 (low clearance?)? Keep in mind I'll use the jack for all of my cars, but I"m guessing a low clearance jack won't have a problem w/ a Honda SUV w/ 9" of ground clearance.
Are $30 Sears craftsman jacks already pretty good for an occasional DIY garage warrior? or should I spend more, and if yes please recommend a product. I don't want to go cheap on a jack & jack-stands and risk getting injured or even killed while working. But then again money doesn't grow on trees and I do not want to go overkill and spend meaningless $ either.
I'm thinking about 3 ton sears craftsman jack stands btw.

I have the Craftsman SUV jackstands. I got them because they are taller, so its like having a mini lift at home. Also, they have the $200 aluminum jack on sale for $89 bucks. Might want to pick that up as well.
But to answer your question, yes, the Craftsman are MORE than enough for a DIY.
P.S. Might want to consider getting 4 of them. This way, you can raise the entire car, and it makes diff/tranny fluid changes easier, since you can crawl under there, undo the bots, and just let it drain, no need to drop car so that its level. I do it, and love it. Also good if you want to clean the undercarriage.

the little craftsman jacks + stands are plenty for your standard DIY jobs. an SUV jack will come in handy to jack the car up from the diff or the front jacking point if you want to get both sides of the car up on stands.

I am checking out the Sears website and can not find the jack you reference on sale? Was it in a circular?
Thanks
