Default What's a good launch point for my s2k?

i got my s2k 2 months ago... i loved it
i have raced a WRX ,turbo Supra ,SLK 430 ,SLK 32,2003 G35

and i just thought asking everyone's opinion about rev launch point with their s2k would be cool!!
i usually launch my s at 3-3.5k
is that good or bad?

it felt good to beat some cars that my 99 prelude couldn't
i love my new car

Glad to hear you're enjoying your S2000. I believe the concensus here is that you can achieve a good launch if you hold the revs at about 6500RPM......some say 7000RPM. I must warn you - you may risk your differentials by doing this too many times. I'm not really into drag racing, so I'm just repeating what I usually read here. Other, more knowledgeable people will chime in soon.

S2Thizzle,
Nice pics. Is that a Momo shift knob? GPWhite looks so good on this car.

LOL!

Helios - Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, that's a Momo Race Air (alum./leather.) shift knob. It's more comfortable for me because I hold the shift knob from the top, not the side. Also, it makes the throw a bit shorter.
