this is correct. i had the car for about 8 months and i PISSED ME OFF coming to it from an S2000. it's something to do with the way the DBW is programmed...i don't think it was a deliberate "shifting for dummies" thing because the dealer had a reflash that was supposed to correct it (but it didn't).

Yeah true, not so much shifting for dummies, its just for those super smooth gear transitions

it ended up just pissing me off more than anything else, and it made it sound liek i didn't know how to drive manual

Yep, his hand placement is on the wheel is horrible. It is hard to feel what the car is realy doing with just one hand on the wheel. I guess one hand would work if you were driving some old car or truck with no steering feel.

yeah true, i shift then put both hands back on the wheel everytime, makes me feel like i am a professional driver

Uh....NO... It's a dude for sure.

He is not timing his throttle foot with the clutch. RPM's jump up because he's riding the clutch for a split second during the shift.
