Default What's the life of our stock battery ?

I was just wondering if anyone had to replace their stock battery . I've owned my car for about a year and ten months and just now it started kind of doing slow starts(not turning over as fast ) . Is two years like the average life ?

Depends upon your location.. warmer temps shorten life. Life is about the same as any other battery.. I replaced mine at about 30 months.

~2.5 years for me, which included some pretty hot Texas summer months.

Just replaced mine, I have a '00. Battery store mentioned the stock Panasonic batteries are junk in their opinion. I assure you it's not hot in Michigan right now! Mine started with the slow crank then just stopped taking a charge.

I feel lucky. My car's 3 years and 3 months old and still starts as well as day one. I keep wondering how much longer I've got. Krazik posted about a nice, really light battery a while back. Think I'm gonna get that when mine dies.

Like cdelena and Elistan, mine lasted 30 months. We all live in hot environments - anyone notice a pattern .

I was having problems with acid leakage, both with the OEM and short-lived replacement from Douglas, so I now use a Westco sealed battery. Here's the link to my thread about batteries: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...tery%20userid62

I drained my battery to about half capacity 2 times in the last year and a half (on vacation w/ my alarm armed). Even at half charge, it cant crank over the car. I used a automatic battery charger/starter to get a full charge, and its still running fine. How many more times can I charge the battery before its toast?
