Exclamation whats the lowest temp you dropped your top down?

Recently I've been dropping my top down here since its been pretty sunny but temps hover around high 30s and lower 40s when it hits night and top is down. I dont do it to often but I always clean and condition my window once a week to keep her soft and not crack under low temps. Theres no way I would lower it if it was under 38 degrees etc.

So whats the lowest temp you had the top down before cracking?

I've put the top down when temps were in the high 40s. I hate to say it, but now I'm afraid to put the top down if it's below 60.

all kingz why you so afraid? As long as it snot freezing 50 degrees is perfect top down weather!!

If its freezing outside theres a change you could damage the window ays.

I've driven my SLK with the top down in sub-zero temperatures (celcius, i.e. freezing point). Even easier in my new one thanks to the airscarf which keeps me really warm...

Does the plastic window really crack? How much is 40 degrees farenheit in degrees celcius anyway?

When I had MY00 I wouldn't drop the top under 60 degrees...of course, same goes for MY02. I am just not a big fan of driving with the top down while it is cold.

I've safely dropped the top down when it was 65 degrees. I wasn't even worried. but I live in California, and we don't worry about such things.

1.8C + 32 = F give or take. 40 F is around 4 C I think

I've put my top down in the 40s, but that's because I got it in December and will take any excuse to put the top down
