So if you're shopping for an S2000 and plan modifying it (rims, exhaust, lowering, lip kit are all the most typical add ons and on most owners "to do" list) - you wouldn't consider buying one that was done right, and tastefully - for 2K more vs shelling out 3-4K after purchasing the vehicle to do it all over?
You're assuming the typical buyer wants EXACTLY the mods that you have in your car. That's pretty uncommon. Most mods are done by the owner's taste, which may not be the same for everyone. Like other people say, I would part it out and hope the perspective buyers do not know you mod it in the first place.

Here's why 24k is optimistic:
ohio car shipped or driven back

I probably wouldn't buy it with the mods. Mods are a warning sign to me that the car probably has been ragged a lot and possibly abused. No telling what else has been tinkered with leading to early mechanical failures.
I would never buy a car with mods. So the answer to your question is less than what a stock one would go for. Why don't you look on kbb.com or edmunds.com to figure out what your car is worth

It's a car, not an investment.

I agree. Ask $25k and accept $24 if you have to.
Someone will come along and prefer to spend the extra money rather than do it themselves. This could easily work if your not in a big hurry.

And keep in mind, it's not really a sellers market right now.

I am shopping for a 06. I used to mod and prolly mod the S if I do buy one.

As a buyer/shopper, I look for STOCK car with no lease history.
Modded and Leased can mean that the car may have been abused.

I'd part out and sell the car as stock.
