I have the stock wheels with the sale and the grill up front was just to protect the front mount heat exchanger from stones and shit. Can be taken right off. As for the tail light tint, I happen to really like that. lol!

I think you sould ask for what you think it is really worth. You never know, someone may accept your price and buy it. If it doesn't sell in a reasonable amount of time, you'll know it's probably a little over priced then drop the price a little and repeat this cycle over and over again until it does sell. Doing it this way, you can be sure you got full value for the car.

It's a matter of finding the right buyer. If you can prove the mechanics are sound with the modifications you have on it, then you should have no problem selling it for near what you want. Make sure you mention the stock wheels come with it (still might be smart to swap them out and sell your rims) and that you have all the records/documentation for what was done on the car.

Good luck!

Easier sell if you put it back to stock. I like silverstone and that's what I had but I wouldn't want the work of undoing what you did and a lot of people may think it was run hard if it had a bunch of do dads on it instead of stock and clean. If it's easy to undo as you said I would do that first.

The rest of the car and supercharger - whats not to like. Its about perfect if you want to supercharge.
You can think what you want but buyers don't typically add value based on mods unless they happen to share your preferences. If you think your mods add value and you want to recover that value then your best bet is to remove them and part out the mods. If you want to sell you have to appeal to the masses and it's easier to sell a stock vehicle. That's just the way it is. Most people aren't able to imagine making something fit them. It's the same with real estate as well. Personalization has to be removed and the property has to be "staged" to make it so potential buyers don't have to imagine the house fitting the buyer's needs/wants. You need to look at it from the perspective of a random potential buyer off the street versus your own perspective as the owner who is attached to not only the vehicle but the mods.

You can hope that you'll find the right buyer but you're significantly reducing your odds of selling by doing so. It's really your call as to how you want to handle it. There are pros and cons no matter what you decide to do. You have to decide what you're willing to cope with and where you're willing to compromise.

Which is more important? Actually selling the car or getting the best price? Take action based on whichever is the priority. If the latter is more important then expect it to take longer to sell.

Put old wheels on, sell current wheels. Remove black tint on lights (easy to do), and put on grill. Then you would have a great car. Plus you can sell your wheels for more than what they would be worth if sold on the car.

We say this because when it comes to buying used stuff, just because you have done certain things doesnt mean the price should go up with it. That is a fantasy most people want to believe.

Also don't be fooled by KBBs messed up S2000 values. I don't know what happened, but somewhere in the last 6 months, KBB decided that used S2000s are worth $5000 more than they used to be. Private party value of your car in good condition is $18.6?? That is extremely unlikely. NADA says $10,950 trade in and $13,300 retail. I think your car is somewhere between the two.

I agree that the best sell would be to part out what you can and bring it as close to stock as possible. The person who buys your car is going to take a lot of your mods off, sell them and put what they want on. Thats a lot of work for them, hence why most mods don't add to a car's value. However, I understand that you put a lot of money and hundreds of man-hours into the car so if you can be patient, put it on CL for what you think it's worth and maybe someone is looking for something like it.

Sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear, but you asked for the group's opinion, and it's pretty unanimous so far.

Good luck with the sell.

I don't expect mods to add value. As I said I want to sell as is for 16.5 which I think is pretty damn fair. I can remove the grille and tints no problem. But as for the other stuff I'm not interested in removing eveything I've put on it. Besides, I don't have The stock exhaust, intake, rotors, or air pump any longer so it's going to be more of a pain in my ass then it's worth to me. As far as the wheels I may put the stockers on and if the price is right give them to the new buyer or sell on my own. I paid 600 for all 4 wheels so I don't really care all that much anyhow. I hear ya about the grille, I don't love it either but on my last set up I chased a boost leak due to a stone hitting the FMIC for weeks so it was more about protecting then looks. I don't know why you all think I'm trying to cash in on my mods. I think 16.5 is a pretty realistic number for this car in the shape it's in with low miles for an 01.
