Whats that thingamajig on the shocks?
My friend and I are going to lower my car on Monday but I had a quick question about what the thing is on the side of the shocks? Some kinda reseviour? What does it do?
Also If I bought aftermarket shocks, will they have them also?
a little side question also....whats the extra little pipe that goes out to the side right before the resonator? I use it as a handle to pull myself under the car.......I'm sure it has more use than that.

What you are seeing is the remote reservoir for the shock oil. It keeps the shock oil cooler and thus dampens more consistently and resistes heat buildup and fade. Pretty cool that they come on a stock production Honda.

That piece of pipe between the catalst and the resonator is called a helmholtz resonator. It's purpose it reduce low frequency bass resonances. This is one of the reasons the stock exhaust is so quiet. Also the stock mufflers are 'S' shaped inside and further baffle the sound.
