Any word on whether it will have a BOV or estimated HP numbers?

If I'm not mistaken a BOV negates CARB certification...

BOV will probably be an option.

Here's my guess as to what's going on .. first of all the car makes enough torque to break loose at 3500 rpm (see thread where owner of project car describes 3500 drop), which likely means that it uses a small pulley to boost super early. If you look at the kit it has a turbe that runs around to the intake box. That tube likely bleeds off bloost at higher rpms and throws it back to the intake. This could work as a BOV .. However, the other bright blue attachment to the cooler could also be a BOV...

I talked to a shop about making a super which is very similar to the Vortech setup (if my guess is right.) It COULD potentially boost sooner than a turbo setup, and actually be boosting to a significant level (2-3 PSI) at IDLE!

This would be optimal because power is always available immediatly since an S/C is always boosting, but there is always the parasitic loss which would mean less potential peak hp....

< / end chris' guess as to what's going on + random thought session>

So, why is Vortech so hush-hush about this question?

Because it's prerelease. Only a fool promotes a feature before it is tried and tested and available.
