Blow Off Valve.

It's the thing that allows you to vent excess pressure.

Particularly useful on turbos because when you change gear and back off the throttle the back pressure can slow the turbo (and cause excessive wear).

In the case of an SC it's primarily to allow the pressure to climb early in the rev range and then cap at a preset pressure. Anything above that vents.

Exactly the example I was thinking of.

I know what it's like to be pressured by consumers to release information pre-release, then get whipped when the product is released and some bells and whistles have been culled. Micro$loth have got it made though. They sell you a buggy product which doesn't meet their promises, then charge you to upgrade to what you should have got in the first place.

Nope, and it has very little boost at low RPM.

 

is the vortech rumored to have low end boost? and is there a chance it will be out by new years?

 

I can give you all the idle speculation you can handle, but that won't have any bearing on what the final product is. Probably better to wait and see.
