Okay everybody,

I just have a general question surrounding oil change durations. The manual gives an estimated distance for which you should change engine oil but that is based on a stock, new vehicle, running OE Honda 10w-30.

What is your duration? Type or Blend? Weight? Or do you go by time lenght instead?

I personally go by distance not to say that is the best method. As far as oil type goes I typically just take it to the dealer and get the Honda oil.

oh yeah, I forgot.

This is based on normal city/highway driving. Track driving and constant high RPM will decrease oild life and oil consumption may increase.

10/30 from costco, use chevron oil. honda filter, bought a few as a bulk deal a while ago, use new washer as needed. 4,000 miles maybe 4500, depends. usually 4-5 months go by between changes.

Every 5000km's because it's easy to remember when it's due. I change it myself with Mobil 1 synthetic.
