Default Wheel damage? What could this be?

I found an 05 that the dealer said they would let go for 17,850 with 15k miles on it. However, I looked closer and on the wheel pic of the car the rim is pretty scuffed up but it looks like it's all over the wheel like way too far in to be the curb. Anyone know what it could be? Would this turn you away?

Yeah well the dealer was asking 18.9k said they'd drop it to 17.8k. I'm sure they'll give some excuse like that's why we were dropping the price anyway.

The car is 2.5 hours away that's why I'm still debating whether it's worth goin all the way out there. It just seems weird the scuffs go so far up the wheel.

i wouldnt let something that small hold me back..but being 2.5 hours away..test driving would be annoying to do..especially if u dont like it

but unless you notice bigger problems or anything..dont worry about it

I would just check the body panels on that side to see if they match up or if there are any gaps or anything to see if there was a sideswipe.
I would not let wheels turn me away from a nice deal though. Just buy new wheels. Offer them maybe 1 grand less and see what happens. Everyone is desparate to sell since no one is buying. Offer 16.5 or so and see what happens.

Ya wheels are all over the place. If you like the car and are satisified with the price, get it and replace the wheel yourself.

I would want to make sure that all the panels and suspension are all stock and that the wheel wasnt just a sign of an accident. I think I would offer about 16.5K for it. Dont go much higher than that if everything checks out.
