Wheel damage? What could this be?
I think that one spot on the edge is curb rash. The other scratches don't look like they hit something - the lines are not curved as I would expect something would be while the wheel was moving - could be from wheel storage?
[CODE]Those marks could be from the tire man that changed or repaired the tire.
the machine that presses the tire on to the rim could scratch up the face. [QUOTE]
no way.
i did tires through college and unless they have way different machines than i have ever seen, there is no way they could have made those marks.
i still say either a high curb or it could have met the ground face first, but not a tire machine

Looks like that's actually corrosion...I've seen it on a few sets of wheels (never an S2K).
But wow look at those rotors! Seen road salt much?

Price seems pretty good. As long as everything else checks out, I would probably jump on it. The rashes on the wheel seem minor. I don't see anything bent or cracked. It could be just high curbs or as one mentioned, they put the face down of the wheel. Most likely that was it. Eventually, you will probably upgrade to aftermarkets anyways so those can be your "other" set. I wouldn't let that hold me back from purchasing though. Just make sure everything else checks out. Good luck.
