Wheel experts need ur help..
i'm thinking about putting Mille Miglia EVO5's 18's....
just like Dark Knight's car...
but i believe those rims are 25lb each... compare to stock 18lb...
so will extra 7x4=28lb.... effect my performance? (0-60,1/4) time??
will i feel perfromance lose??
thx for ur help... and marry christmas~~

Rolling weight is not static weight. Average difference is akin to 2.5x static
weight, so with the purchase (don't forget tire weight but the reduced sidewall
should compensate for the tires...it depends on how wide you go) of these
wheels, you're looking at adding about 70-lbs.
1 lb x .0021 = difference in 1/4 mile (for cars with this power to weight ratio).
.147 or roughly a car length and a half (if a machine was racing the car before and after).
Your 0-60 time will be slightly worse than this ratio because the larger diameter of
the tires simply takes longer to get out of the hole (unless you're putting the wheels on
ultra sticky tires but if you're running SO-3's, those are sticky enough in 16-inch form).
Bottom line? If you can accept a performance loss barely measurable to the butt dyno.
go with what you like. You'll be staring at your car more than you'll be staring at your
stopwatch.
Merry Christmas to all.
