Can one of you give me the Honda part number for the OEM wheel locks? The ones the dealer's parts man gave me are bigger (longer) than the wheel nuts and they seem to weigh a bit more, too.

There are two sizes from Honda. Both are longer and heavier than the other wheel nuts. Check out the pics half way down the page here.

Just bought mine recently from the Honda dealer. They are bigger, but according to the package won't knock your wheels out of balance (so they say!!).

Yes, thanks, HiSpeedR. That is the part number for the locks I have. They just don't look right. Have you installed them and driven your car at highway speed yet?

I picked up the shorter ones from H & A. Driven around for a few days with them on, no vibration issues. Also, an extra 1/4oz in that position won't change the overall wheel balance that much.

The part number for the shorter style is: 08W42-SCV-100. They are designed for a Odyssey, but still have the same seat design as the factory S lung nuts.

Not sure if you can see the wheel locks well here, but I have the standard ones from my dealer:

I think it's the nut at "10:00" on the wheel. The ewight, especially so close to the center of the hub means nothing. 1/4 of an ounce on the OUTSIDE of the wheel would make a difference.

Thanks, Ruexp67. I think I'll install the ones I got from the dealer and stop fretting about it. By the way, I have a brother-in-law in Streamwood.

I have the longer ones as well. As posted before, no balance issues due to the fact they are close to the center of the wheel.
