Default Wheel rating system, please explain

I know all about tire rating systems, but I'd like to know more about the wheel ratings such as "6 JJ"?

Thanks.

Check out this site, it has some information on wheel and tire ratings.

http://www.fernblatt.com/longhurst/tyre_bible.html

Hope that helps.

Thanks, it helps but what I'm really trying to figure out is whether the '03 WRX wheels would fit on my Passat '00.

The tires are OK, but the rims of the WRX say 6 JJ while the rims of the Passat say 7 J. Anyone can confirm if they would fit?

You will need more information than just that which you have posted. (I suspect the "6" and "7" are widths). You'll need Bolt Pattern, width and offset, and tire sizes will come into play as well. Try posting in the wheel and tire forum (or wait until this thread is moved)
