s2kblk,

The caps will fit in the front wheels but not the rear.

I did see a cap that kind of bulges out in a Ray's Engineering catalog...but it was kinda ugly.

You can check out the japanese site to see if you can find them...but I don't recall them being there.

So, you have Volks then? What size?

Well, I left the TE37's without the caps because it is almost tradition not to have caps on those wheels...haha.

I'm sorry, I must be dumb cause i'm not getting this at all!

First of all, please explain these numbers "245/35/18", I assume that means mm width/offset/inches tall.

So what you're saying is that if you CAN use rims with less of an offset but then it will stick out more and cause rubbing... Which is the issue that you have, so you can't lower your car that much. Therefore, you wish you had wheels with a 50 or 55 mm offset so you could lower it more.

Is that right?

How far do your wheels stick out right now??

Be aware that when you go to bigger wheels but keep the overall tire diameter the same, you are more susceptible to wheel damage from road hazards. When I was driving at 95 mph through the desert north of Joshua Tree National Park a couple of weeks ago, I was glad to have as much sidewall as possible on those rough roads. A one inch asphalt edge is absorbed much better by a three inch sidewall than by a two inch sidewall.

I could have driven slower, of course, but I really wanted to get out of that hot desert and back to civilization.

I just talked to a dude at Goodroads.net and he said that you can fit (CP-035) 9.5" 18's in the rear and 8.5 inch in the front.. and they are flush with the fender. He also said they weigh only "the better part of 10 pounds" ... so maybe he was on crack?

Well, if 18's weigh 10 lbs. I wonder what they'll say about 15s, 16s, and 17s. What, only a 1 pound difference between each 1 inch increment? Those guys have got to be kidding.
