Default Wheel Theft Deterrent

Besides locking lug nuts, does anyone know if there is such a thing as a lug nut cover that you can lock OVER the lug nuts? For example: If I went on vacation and had to park outside, is there a case that you can bolt down on the wheel via the lug nuts, and then lock a cover over it?

I thought I saw something like that on someones car, but I can't find it anywhere on the internet. IT looks like a flat black cylinder that ends up covering the lug nuts.

I've added a crude drawing.

Thank you soOOOOOO much, I knew it had the word Spider in it, and it WAS on a Subaru, so that all makes sense now! And here I thought it was some kind of wheel theft deterrent.

I wonder if we can make a locking version of it to add another defense layer against theives?

I know Volk made something like this a while back but it was a little different.

The lug-nut was rounded it came with a key and had locking cap in the center of the Lug-nut that you would unlock then you would use a allen key style socket to take the nut off with.

Idk if they still make them or not i know the set was around 400$ for 20!

This is kinda like it but the Blue center cap had a real key insisted of a allen key.

But that would be cool to maybe have cover that would lock into the center cap area that would cover all the nuts just a idea.

Just picked up some new wheels and wanted something more secure than just 1 lock on each wheel. Looked into a lot of different styles of lugs/locks. Everything from the popular ones like Project Kics, VOLKS to innovative ones like the magnetic ones, most ranging from $200+, which is crazy expensive for some lugs imo

Ultimately, ended up with these for about $60. Best bang for the buck as far as wheel security.

Good information guys!

While there is no sure-fire way to protect anything in life, I believe these are great steps to protecting your wheels. I'm going to see if I can't prototype something up.

I currently have the single Honda wheel locks, but those from Gorilla look like a good product for a reasonable price. Will get some and feel a bi tmore protected.
