If you have the rear wheels on the front of the car, it's a very dangerous situation because the center hole in the wheel is too small. I.e., the wheel isn't securely attached to the hub!

I recommend you take the front wheels off and measure the ID of the bore. IIRC, the fronts should have a 72mm bore, and the rears should have a 64mm bore, but double-check with a quick search!

Since you now have 225/50's all the way around (right?), you might be able to tell by looking at how the tire fits the wheels. A 225/50 tire on the AP1 front wheels (6.5" wide) should bulge out significantly more than a 225/50 tire on AP1 rear wheels, which are 7.5" wide.

Make sure you have the rear wheels mounted at the rear of the car!

I highly doubt that's the case. The tires would be impossible to mount square, if at all. The wheel would wobble like a clown car at low speed.

i went out to look and it appears that the back tires bulge out more than the front tires....so im assuming the rims are on the wrong wheels...because the fronts dont bulge....so when i remove the rim, do i just measure the center hole?

The size of the wheel should be printed on the wheel. You can also use a tape measure to see which is wider. Rims = wheels.

I just assume tire shops are noobish unless I've worked with them before. I label each wheel with painter's tape "front left, rear left, etc."

I'm a little unclear on the details.

What sizes, brands, and positions are your current tires?

Also, some of these tires are asymmetric and can only be put in one position after being properly mounted.

is there a way to determine which rims are meant for the rear and which ones are meant for the front? (OEM of course) ...because prior to getting my rear tires replaced...the rears were potenza s03s 205/50 and the fronts are still potenza re750 225/50 ....so it looks like someone may have rotated the tires on my car before i bought it
Are you sure the S03s weren't 205/55?

Woah - I think I see at least one major problem. I once (I repeat ONCE) replaced my back S02's (to save money) with RE750s which were recommended by a shop. Much cheaper of course and I figured they'd last longer.

It was SO scary (maybe similar to your feeling).

I think the basic problem was the super-firm sidewalls of the S02s vs the RE750s. Thus any transition from straight would react either quickly (up front) and slowly (in back). Very very dangerous.

It was SO hard to convince them to take them back because they just didn't believe it was such a big issue.

Scared the hell out of me on the highways.

Of course you also may have some issue with the wheel sizes and rotation.

......and, when i remove the honda cap on the wheels, only the rear wheels have a center nut, while the front wheels dont..is this normal?

Wow, with your two tire threads (this one and https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=688619), I think you have an accident waiting to happen. I would take your car to a more reputable tire shop and have them look at it. Another thing you could do is post on your local forum and have someone, with some knowledge and expertise, help you take a look. The sooner, the better!
