Wheels
I have tein crusing master type cs co's for a softer ride. Someone suggested 17" wheels with more sidewall rubber to stay with the comfortable ride because of my bad back instead of going with the 18" wheels and less tire! Because I do not race it makes sense to me, now what are the pros and cons of not going with the 18" and staying with the 17".
Going from 18's back to 16's was probably one of the smartest decisions I've made with regards to the list of mods I've done to my car. The ride is considerably more comfortable, the car is measurably quicker (by a LOT) and my back is loving it. I've got the "must have large wheels to look good" virus out of my system and the car just seems to have responded as if to say, "'bout time." It seems like with every sportscar I buy, this is the journey I take. Update the wheels to some ridiculously heavy piece of alloy in the name of asthetics (hey, they DO look great) but in time, I always come back home. For instance, I went large on my Miata R and after a year, went back to stock size and it felt like a TOTALLY different car, much improved in every respect. To date, I still haven't seen 18's on a Miata that didn't look soooo out of place. For our car, 17's are a good compromise if you must go larger but the difference between 18's and 16's is night and day.

bigger wheels means less room for up and down suspension play, which means a harder ride...
