When did the horn change tones?

I prefer the setup on my 05: I kept the lower horn, and replaced the upper with a relay-controlled small compressor and dual air horns. Let's just say it works well.

I plan on doing the same to my AP1, minus any factory horns, we did it on my brother mazdaspeed Miata and it rocks
