Wow, if mr. treadwear indicator is touching the ground and you had to plug a tire its probably time for a whole new set. I read that plugging a tire basically voids the tires speed rating as it allows moisture into the tire which can't handle the heat and can affect tread seperation.

My tires are beginning to wear out too, 10,500 miles + 6 autocrosses and lots of hard driving. What I have been noticing was how easy it was to bring the back around when the tires are this worn out. I can bring the tail around starting from idle during a 90 degree turn, just give it some gas and pull the steering wheel a bit harder during the turn and your done. Did you perhaps give a sudden too much steering at the apex? I am always prepared for this nowawdays until i get a new set of tires, I wouldn't even want to imagine driving the stook in the rain with worn tires.
