Well its happened to me in some of my other cars, but this is the first time in the S. Last night, at around 7 p.m. I made a right hand turn onto a three lane street. Just as I was about to make the turn, I saw a motorcycle cop right behind me so I was sure to make a complete stop.

I proceeded to make the turn into the far right lane of the three lane street so the cop wouldn't have any excuse to pull me over. As I proceeded down the street going 35, which was the speed limit, the cop pulls right next to me (driverside) and starts giving me a really dirty look. By this time, I was trying to get into the left lane to make a left turn at the approaching signal. Everytime I sped up, so did the cop. As I slowed, he did the same. This was happening for about 1/4 mile. All the while he continued giving me that dirty look. What really pissed me off was that he didn't even pull me over. Was he trying to prove something???

If this happens again, what are my rights and what can I do?? I felt like tak'in the bike out, but that would mean scratches on my S.

You should have just hit him with your car and took off.

I think most cops don't like cars. They seem to be mostly "truck guys"... or motorcycle guys if they ride bikes (of course). Why would you choose a line of work that forced you to drive around all day in a Ford Crown Victoria if you liked cars?

Do you think he was pissed because you were driving a car that costs about the same as his yearly salary?

You probably just have the same car as the guy who is banging his wife.

(I'm assuming that you're not banging his wife ...)

This may not be important, but were you doing anything (illegal) prior to your meeting the cop? Or was your radio blasting? If so, maybe they radioed ahead to be aware of you.

That's odd. The last time I had an encounter with the police, they were asking me about my car. I was in a parking lot getting into my car when 2 police officers got out of their car and asked me a bunch of questions, like "We don't see many of these around, are they fast?" They were really cool. I have yet to run into *sshole cops (knock on wood).
