Default When to Supercharge?

I have been looking into the Comptech Supercharger but I only have 7,000 miles on my car and I feel like it is too soon for hte engine to supercahrge it. Should I wait or would it be ok to go ahead and supercharge it now? If I should wait how many miles till it would be less harmful to go FI? Thanks

You probably would be OK, but I personally would probably wait until you are out of warranty, that way, if you do have a weak rear end, it would blow and get replaced for free rather than having to pay for it. 7000 miles should have been enough for all of the bearings and rings to seat in properly tho.

Personally, I think you can supercharge the car whenever you like. I believe the car is fully broken in by 10K miles, so anytime after that is probably best.

If you're worried about warranty, you can have the Comptech supercharger installed at Coggin Honda in Jacksonville, and it's under the full factory warranty. So that is an option.

I'll eventually supercharge mine, but I'm going to wait a while because I think the car is superb stock. I want to learn how to really handle the car well before I begin doing anything extreme like a supercharger. Also, I plan to do a few autocrosses, and I prefer to compete in stock B-class (for now).

Yeah, I did just spend $8K on all sorts of things (some for the car). So I don't have the funds at the moment for the supercharger, but even before I spent the money, I could have gotten the supercharger instead.

But, I'll wait to do it.

So Coggin Honda of Jacksonvill will install a Comptech Supercharger? I find it hard to believe that a dealer would install that. Do the mechanics there have the experience with this sort of install? I have been told stories about honda mechanics putting 5W30 oil in the car instead of 10W30. Also how much would they charge for the install and has anyone on the boards got theirs installed there? Thanks
