When to supercharge? Do you really want to keep the useless honda warrenty or have fun instead?

I turbo'ed my car with - I think - under 800 miles or so.

I think that Comptech and the dealer may offer the warranty, but it's definitely not in the Honda Warranty Book. Comptech does not = Honda. Thus, if your car fails somewhere away from the installing dealer, don't expect much love from another Honda dealer.

I waited until my warranty expired at 3 yrears (I had 13K on the car at the time) before I went with the Comptech.

I think people fall into two groups on this. Some people slap the S/C on while the car is under warranty and basically accept that they will have to pay for a repair that might have been covered by the factory if the car was left stock. Myself, I just thougt it would be a shame to do that.

Comptech warranty's their parts if you purchase them from an authorized dealer. The installer would have to warranty the installation of said parts. After the S/C is installed, the Honda factory warranty on the drivetrain is basically shot.

I called 4 Honda dealers in the area to do the install because of hints on the Bay Area forums that if they did it, the drivetrain would be warrantied. Nope, none of the Honda delaers would touch it with a ten foot pole. I finally went with Comptech themselves to do it... took them 2 days including dyno.

I am the s2k tech at ganley honda. I;ve installed comtech s/c kits at the dealer and at home. Jeff did mention something about honda warrentying comptech stuff. I'm sure it would have to be dealer installed.

I guess it would be up to the dealer, honda wouldn't make them.
