Default Where to buy?

My 01 just spun a rod bearing. I was going to rebuild it with stronger internals but the guy at the shop I talked recommended a whole new motor. The cheapest I found one was 4K + shipping. Including the tranny, ecu, and everything else. I don't need all those extra parts. Can anyone recommend a good site to find a good, strong motor? Or should I just put that 4-5K into rebuilding it?

He didn't say it couldn't but this car is my DD. So I told him that in a few years(2-3), I wanted to boost the motor. As I am still in school. He told me there was no point in building it now(NA) just to re-build it later(FI). I really need to get the car running ASAP.
