Thumbs down Where can I find a Rear Piston/Caliper Retractor?

Hello,

According to this tutorial, I have been using a 3"x3/8" socket extension to reset my rear pistons. However, I have nearly stripped the center of the pistons and it is very difficult to use the socket extension.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a Caliper Retractor Tool? Preferably at a retail store because I need one by this Saturday for a trackday at SOW.

Thanks!!!

I tried both Autozone and Kragen and couldn't find them...are they referred to something other than "Brake Caliper Retractor Tool"?

What kind of pliars do you use? Do you use them kinda like a screwdriver? Or do you actually have pliars that are large enough to wrap around the entire piston?

Cool...I'll try Autozone again to look for a cube-looking tool...I thought it would look like a huge screwdriver or something.

Needle nose pliars...never thought of that...if I can't find the tool...I'll try this method.

Thanks!!!

Yeah, looks like a little cube. Might be called "disk brake tool".

also, i usually just use a pair of channel-locks to grab the outer edge. i know, it sounds like it wouldn't work, but it does!

Hmmm, interesting! Why doesn't a C-clamp work in the rears?

From google: http://images.google.com/images?q=brake+ca...F-8&sa=N&tab=wi None look like a cube, but the ECS tuning pic looks about right!
