I cut a donut or drift a few corners every daw on my way home from work IF I can catch a corner or empty lot with no one around. As long as you dont drop the clutch from a dead stop. But whats cool about this car is from 5mph in a corner with the clutch fully released, all i gotta do is mash on the throttle and I got two choices...drift it or all the way around. Dude jus dont be stupid about it. I ride out where there are not a lot of homes and corners where I can see for sure no one is in the area. One thing I've learned about my 2002 s2k is they made it to run..(IF MAINTAINED PROPERLY) and has safety features to prevent ...VTEC before car is at operating temp....Clutch slip to prevent shock to the rear end "not saying it cant be done"...hell if I run vtec all the way to 9000rpm and shift....it will slip. If I shift right before the redline.....get out the way cause im gone...lol

Majority on here have excellent Knowledge and advice that is GREATLY appreciated!
BUT the majority also dont take the S out in the rain...Or their car is a national treasure to them. And thats all cool...to each his own.

I, like many others OP included it seems. LOVE our cars...and will take good care of it..BUT I bought it to drive it and have fun....safely. I dont set out to break it...jus have fun.

Only thing your putting a strain on is your wallet for new tires.

Ok. For the sake of argument, enlighten me. What is the difference in ME breaken the tires free for a donut or to drift, or someone on the track jerken the car around turns on the track? I love the S curves also and I know the g forces you can get out of this car is awesome! N what is putting more force on the components of the car??? To think its the donut IMO is ridiculous. Now the drift may be a little more then the donut, but the track....has to be the most stress...Constant clutch and throttle....hmmm.
If you can show me proof to the contrary I can admit defeat..I just dont see it.
Some posters say they hit VTEC almost every day....SOME may also say thats tearing up the car....Coolant good.....Fresh oil...Trans oil good.. Rear end oil fresh..... I say DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!

BTW.....almost 72000 miles and if you can find a spot of oil leaking from motor tranny or anywhere for that matter.....I will kiss your a@@! I add 1/4 of a quart of oil every 1000 miles.....and its not leaked....its VTECed....lol

This really isn't the right car to go drifting with, this car was made hug curves and grip the ground like a elise or exige. There are much better car to go drifting in like 240s, ae86, 350z even, etc...

Although drifting looks cool and can be fun, Getting good times at the track is equally fun and cool. I perfer to be able to go fast around a track then to be able to drift imo.

Aren't you the same guy that wanted to put r-comps on your car? Now you want to do burn outs? The S2000 isn't really a burn-out car.
I really wanted to know what r-comps were...yes, I'm that noob.

Potentially a good idea. You'll clean out your garage in the process.
