Where is a good spot to put the garage door remote on the S2000? Mine is one of those long regtangular ones. I don't want to put it on the sun visor because it would look tacky and might leave a permanent impression from the clip, so any other ideas on where to put it? It won't fit in the cup holder without it open, and I like to leave the cup holder closed so I can rest my arm there. Any Ideas? Maybe a ricks leather garage door remote carrying case?

What brand of remote?

I've got a Sears opener and the remote fits in the pocket behind the cup holder...

I took the clip off & put it in the elastic in the small compartment in the center..(when the door is folded down)

I put it in the net that's by the leg of the passenger area. That's where I put the cell phone too.

Ditto on using the slot behind the cup holder. Almost fill the slot like a dummy panel. And I figure, who wants my remote? It's hell to reprogram and if they're willing to risk dismemberment by reaching into my ride then they need it more than i do.

I have hard wired mine into the car's fuse box. I, too, have one of those largish rectangular remotes. I got a Radio Shack 12v to 9v converter, a 9v battery cap, install the cap (instead of the battery) in the remote, ran the wire outside, spliced it to the converter (keep + & - straight). Then I taped the remote push button so it's on all the time. Wired the other end of the converter to the fuse panel (constant hot or ignition hot - your choice). Splice a small push button switch in the hot lead or ground (doesn't matter) and installed the switch just above left knee on the bottom edge of lower dash. Tape converter and remote together, wrap in old fabric (sock or t-shirt) and stuff it up and into the lower dash. You'll never need batteries again and you can't see the push button unless you put your head in the foot well.

I keep it velcro-ed to the inside of the fold down door between the seats. This way I can lock it and it is easy to open the compartment and press a button when I need it. It's too easy a thief to reach in and steal it and then follow you home. Perhaps I am paranoid. I also remove it before I take my car in for service. If you have an attached garage it is just like the key to your house.

I keep it in the cup holder.

Seldom drink anything in the car, because the drink always gets in the way of the shifting action.

I found an excellent multi-function programmable remote at http://www.smarthome.com/7449m.html
