Default where does this piece go?

I found this piece on the bottom of door panel when I was installing my speakers but can't tell where it goes... Can anyone please explain / show me where it goes. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

g'dammit, I also found them in both of my doors when I installed new speakers. I checked all door and window parts in the service manual and those parts do not exist anywhere. This has baffled me, they cannot be bought seperately so they don't show up as parts. I am glad you posted this but it has bugged me for a long time. I showed one to my Honda parts guy and he has no idea of what it could be. It has felt on it so it was meant to rub up against the glass.

Maybe they are just extra parts used for installation at the factory that don't do anything, I have no issues with my doors or windows, I wonder if they were meant to mount behind the speakers in case the glass rubbed up against the back of the speaker enclosures. They don't seem to have any mounting hardware , no clips, glue, screws or clamps, I can't figure out how they can even be installed anywhere as they are relatively flat.

I'm not sure if it is part number 4 as listed in the post with the diagram. If it is, I still don't see how the part can be held in place, perhaps one reason why they fall off. They have probably been in the bottom of my doors for years without any negative side effect, I doubt they do very much. They seem like a very poorly designed piece. I had that upper molding piece apart one day doing a repair but I can't see how something might attach to it, perhaps with a sealant.

just had a look at mine again, and it is the outboard stabilizer on the outer weatherstripping piece. There is also an inboard stabilizer but that one is bolted in place.

I just tried reinstalling mine from above with the window all the way down. I attached it to the weatherstripping with the rear clips by pushing it down, seemed to be okay. I then opened and closed the window and the damn thing fell into the door again right where I first found it. I believe that I may have installed it backwards and it was overly tight that way. I know understand how it mounts onto the weatherstripping rubber strip but the part is inside the door panel again

Looks like xviper fixed his in this post

It is a poorly designed part as the clips don't hold it on very tight and the chance of it falling off in the future is likely pretty high even if you get it back on. This thing pisses me off. I see the part listed on majestic honda's online catalog, it can be purchased seperately but it doesn't show how it is mounted. It would be nice to have it properly installed, but I don't think it is a very important part if it goes missing, something tells me that the part has likely fallen off a majority of s2k's.

You can reinstall the parts from above the door with the window all the way down. If I ever put them back in I will use a bit of black gasket sealer on the clips of the parts to give them a bit more holding power. I wonder if the rubber strip on the back of it is supposed to be sticky tape ?, hard to tell after it is a few years old but if it was sticky tape it may help to mount it better. I've got to order a new one as I damaged one when I was trying to figure out how it worked, so I'll see if the new one has sticky tape on it. If that is the case I'd replace the tape with fresh stuff on the used parts prior to mounting, and I'd use some gasket sealer for improved holding.

Thanks for bringing this issue back to life.
