Default Where To Go For Auto-x?

I just read a post about a guy's rear end breaking loose and flying into the desert. I don't want tha schit happening to me. I was thinking about trying one of the driving schools everyone talks about, cause even though I've had my S2k for over a year, I sitll feel like I could be a much better driver, particularly around corners. It's my first sporty car, and I don't really know its limits very well. I live around Indy, and I'm just really not sure where to start looking for a school, or whatever. Maybe I could just do a day at an auto-x? I'm sure it would be pretty fun, too. Any thoughts, guys (gals)?

Also, as a general rule, if I find that during a curve, I've comitted one of the sins, such as letting off the throttle or braking or shifting, and the end starts to fly out, how do I correct it? I would guess that I apply some gas and then...?

Thanks you guys..

Check out the scca website for autox events near you. Autox will help you understand the limits of your car and hopefully make you a better driver.

Thanks you guys..
Generally you want to get back on the gas (do not stomp on it, just give it enough to get the the rear tires loaded again) and stay on it. Simultaneously, if you're oversteering you'll want to counter steer and point the wheel in the direction you want to be traveling. Be careful not to over-correct or you'll find yourself oversteering and sideways in the opposite direction. At this point you want to settle the car down and regain traction. Hopefully, if you performed all of these within a second or two you will not have crashed into anything and you'll be facing in the right direction again.

I'd suggest getting yourself to an autox as soon as possible to learn the limits of the car, it really helps.
