Default Where have all the s2000s FOR SALE gone?

Hey, I've been shopping for an s since September, and I've really seen the prices bottom out.

My main question is, especially since December, WHERE have all the s2000s for sale gone?

I saw some good deals come out around November, and there were lots to choose from. Nowdays everything seems stagnated, eBay keeps cycling through and reposting the same batch of 10-15 that never get sold or meet their reserve price... And the FOR SALE forum here has the same bunch from a few weeks ago.

Now I only see silvers mostly. Hardly any yellows, reds, or blacks!

Is this because we're headlong into winter now?

I've heard the best time to buy for price is the start of Winter?

BUT When would the best time be to buy, in terms of selection?

Thanks!

I've never really understood that. If they had sold at low prices in 2008, there's a psychological plus of having a car that is 1 year younger (in '08) versus 1 year older (in '09)...

And most likely, the economy will worsen. I wonder how high sellers will try to pump prices up...

And wait until summer brings back high gas prices

I just want the selection to come back!

If you're talking about having a slightly higher mileage car, then it would still be better to wait until the summer. I saw someone recently selling an 07 with 8k miles for $22k. Compare that to the summer when a car with 30k miles would go for 25+. Seasons apparently make a huge difference. That and the economy dying off didn't help.

Maybe you are looking for too much of a steal price? It's not a steal price if you don't pay cash (you get a bad interest rate for used cars)

I think most of them are selling in the winter time because they get conscious about their car that there paying every month and not driving it so they are willing to let it got for cheaper.

If your willing to go to canada...

good luck

Eh... I'm looking at all price ranges. I see some AP1s posted at $16,000 still, and I'm not sure what's up with that... But overall, it seems like most reds/blacks/whites/yellows have disappeared for the time being...

Looking for an AP1 (2003)...

I'm actually starting to worry about them "running out" and whether I'll be able to get one this spring/summer/winter! With all the crashes, stolen-seats-salvaged-titles, the abused, and the high miles... The future doesn't look too good for AP1s?
