Default Where to look for an s2k?

So i have been on the hunt for a s2000 and have looked in the obvious locations, on this website, carmax, craigslist, and a couple other websites. Are there any places yall would consider looking to find one? I would be either selling or trading in my 08 acura tl which only has 52,000 miles on it.

Thank yall for the help and look forward to being able to join the s2ki community soon (it will be hard leaving the acurazine community though)

AutoTrader and eBay Motors are the only other sites I would check if you haven't already, though there's usually not too many S2000s on eBay Motors.

Autotrader is another site you may want to check out if you haven't already. I lucked out and found my S2000 on Craigslist and the seller was literally just down the street from me.

EDIT: Treed!!

If you're in an area with only a few big car dealers, I'd recommend calling around, in some cases they'll not list it and just send the s to auction and you might be able to land a deal on it. I found mine through a random tip, it had just been traded in to a dodge dealer who wasn't planning on keeping it at the lot and I got a pretty solid price.

Just as an added note i called a dealer in Houston today to find out about an s2000 and asked how much my TL would trade in for and they told me 12k... I just hung up the phone. Biggest low ball if i have ever seen one.

If you're not averse to hopping on a plane, searching in typical high income convertible-friendly areas like SoCal and south Florida can lead you to a glut of cherry weekend driven single-owner cars, as well as just more S2000s in general. I bought mine local to me, but my parents were living in FL and going to spend a long weekend down there and driving a few was on the docket if I didn't have any luck locally.

Expand your search!

Making a trip the right car is worth it (driving it home is a blast).

I'm in west Texas, and found mine in Fort Worth. I got a daily driver last summer in Houston (flew down and drove it home).

If anything, at least check Houston and Austin since you are so close to both.

Autotempest.com is nice as it searches several sites at once for you. I was blessed and found mine on Craigslist, but if you go the private route I recommend getting CarFax. It's worth noting the "unlimited" version limits you to 5 searches via VIN and unlimited searches via license plate (which is cautioned at potentially being less comprehensive).
